Onboarding Locky

Simplicity. While creating Locky, every step of the way, in every department of our company, what we all had in mind was simplicity – from a minimalist design, to easy and effective functionality, to an intuitive app. This may surprise you, but believe me, it requires a lot of creativity to keep everything as simple as possible. I’m sure we made it. Just take a look at how easy it is to bring Locky into your life. It takes only five super-easy steps for Locky to take over the responsibility of taking care of your home’s safety.

Step 1: Get Locky
Well, obviously! Then, once you’re a lucky owner, mount the Locky overlay on your key.

Step 2: Download the app
Download the free Locky app from the App Store or Google Play and install it on your smartphone.

Step 3: Pair Locky with your smartphone
Open the Locky app. From now on, detailed instructions will tell you what to do. First you need to pair Locky with your smartphone. Tap “pair my Locky”, then turn Locky on, put it somewhere near your phone and tap “next”. Your smartphone will automatically detect the device and will ask for your permission to start the configuration.

Step 4: Configure Locky
Put the key with the Locky overlay into your lock, tap next and tell the app if are you inside or out. Now Locky needs to learn and remember how your key moves, so turn your key to the end and tap “next” again. Tell the app if you’re closing or opening the door. Now Locky knows all it needs to!

Step 5: Forget about worrying
Finally, the app will ask you to name your lock and that’s it! From now on, Locky will do its job, and you can focus on your responsibilities and stop worrying about the security of your home.

Believe me, the whole process takes only a few minutes! Take a look at this video I made.

From now on, Locky will immediately notify you if you forget to lock your door and inform you of the status of your door when you’re not around, so that you never have to worry. And if you lose your keys … well, you won’t. Just choose “calling Locky” on the app, and they will be located in less than a second.

Could it get any simpler? If you have any ideas, let me know – I’ll be impressed!
